When starting a new blog or website, the essential, and I think the hardest part of the whole process is getting people to your site. With billions of web pages out there how can you get people to come to yours. Telling friends and family and asking them to spread the word is one way that you can get visitors to your site. Another way that is popular and effective is paying for leads to your website. But for those out there that do not necessarily have the money to spend getting people to their website, there are various traffic exchanges that give you the opportunity to display your website so that other surfers can see it in exchange for viewing web pages. One such traffic exchange is traffic swarm that allows users to view pages in their selected interest categories to accrue points and then using these credits to have your own web page or blog displayed. In addition to other methods, this can a be great way to get visitors to your web page without spending money out of pocket: http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?692195

SurveyScout
Another great benefit of joining Project Payday (described below) is that there is a free membership to Survey Scout offered (usually $34.95). I am sure that you have heard or seen tons of ads all over the Internet saying that you can make up to $150 an hour answering online surveys, but we all know that those figures are just not feasible, not in the beginning anyway. This free membership gives access to tons of marketing companies online who genuinely pay for the opinions of consumers online. After joining Survey Scout and signing up at some of the survey companies, over the first few weeks, I noticed that I was getting more and more invitations for surveys into my inbox. It is still very early since I joined this money making opportunity, but I realize that there is tons of growth potential. The more surveys you take, the more "visible" you become to marketing companies, that is, they know that you are reliable to take surveys and will begin to select you more often for surveys that they have. Right after joining be sure to read the interview with a woman who has made a steady and sizable income doing this. Check it out: www.SurveyScout.com

I'm being the guinea pig again, I am trying this new program that seems pretty promising. The way it works is this: You pay $25 that is split and sent to different people. $10 goes to your sponsor, $10 goes to a second person in the "second position" and $5 goes towards hosting fees and such for the site. Well anyway, you pay this money and then they webmasters promote your site for you until you have made a certain amount of money, for this site it is around $9,000. There is a money back guarantee that they will continue to promote your site until you have made this amount of money or your initial investment is returned to you. It is a one time fee, and a great program for generating money even when you sleep!

Weed vs. Booze
I recently came across a very interesting question: Should colleges punish marijuana-smokers more severely than underage drinkers? Now what do I have to say about this?:
There is absolutely no way that colleges should punish marijuana-smokers more severely than underage drinkers and the simple why is because of the effects of each of these drugs (Yes! Alcohol is a drug). Having been through college and lived the college experience from ALL angles there has never been one time, when an incident that went too far was sparked by a really high student being belligerent. 9 times out of 10, there would be a group of freshman students, drunk off of their knockers, walking through campus and causing a ruckus. I feel as though alcohol can be much more dangerous a drug that marijuana can be. That being said, I think that colleges should view every incident individually and pass down punishment that is appropriate for the violation. Smoking weed in your room and having your RA report you should definitely be a lesser offense than underage drunken students being loud and rowdy all over campus. To me, the punishment should fit the crime, regardless if it is marijuana or alcohol.
Please let me know what you all think about this, I'm very interested!

Like I said before I am no newbie to the Internet, but I have only recently began to take interest in exploring the potential of the Internet on more levels than one. Everyone I'm sure is familiar with all the of the programs that promise to make you rich in months, better yet days!! I was never one to play into all of the hype that the flashy programs offered and instead I became familiar with programs that are not promising thousands of dollars into your account overnight; but instead, programs that allowed the potential for sustained growth over time and more realistic expectations for earning potential.
Around the same time that I was looking more closely into the more stable money making programs, I simultaneously became familiar with the blogging world. One program that I have recently joined and began to participate in is called PayPerPost. This site is great in that it connects advertisers to bloggers and allows then to review products and services for a monetary reward. This simple and easy to use system creates a stress-free, win-win environment for both bloggers and advertisers and even has extended capabilities to allow the "posties" as they call them to take their paid blogging into their own hands. For anyone who is interested in making a little money on the side with a great program should try it out at: PayPerPost

My First Post!
I have been on the Internet for the longest time now, but in a more "observer" capacity than an active presence. I have decided to get my feet wet, and become part of the growing population of people that are living purely digital lives. While I am not looking to abandon human contact all together...I want to be able to hold my own in the digital world and hopefully make a mark, however small, in the mysterious world wide web!! Wish me luck!!
