Another Tid-Bit

With the way that the economy is going, more and more people have found themselves with free time on their hands to do things they never had the time for before: spending more time with family, cleaning out the garage, getting to all those movies you haven't had the chance to watch. But as for me, I've taken the time to really begin focusing my efforts on utilizing the internet for money making!

Blogging Communities

Many people who are getting started out trying to make money online look to blogging to do it. There are countless ways out there that you can monetize your blog, from Adsense to affiliate programs, but the one thing that is necessary for any blogger's success is traffic, traffic, traffic! You can have the most gorgeous blog with the most relevant content, but if no one is seeing it, then it is useless. Generating traffic to your blog doesn't necessarily have to be difficult either. One of the most valuable resources in helping to drive targeted traffic to your blog is utilizing blogging communities. There are many blogging communities out there including MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog, and BlogFlux just to name a few and best of all they are 100% FREE! Within these blogging communities you can interact with other bloggers all around the world that have similar interests as you can can provide essential feedback on ways to improve your blog.

Here are some tips to help generate more traffic to your website our blog by participating in blogging communities:

1. Comment on others blogs.

When you comment on someone's post they are more likely to take a look at your site. Whether it be to see who exactly you are, or checking out something on your page relating to your comment, commenting on other member's blog is a great way to open the channel for communication and hopefully more views.

2. Use your friend request button liberally.

If you happen to come across a blog that really tickles your fancy do not hesitate to friend the author or shoot them a quick message about what you think about their site. Building friendships and contact with people within the blogging communities can not only help drive more traffic to your site, but also provide contacts and friends that will be more willing to hear you out if there is another opportunity or venture that you want to share. Building your reputation and clout with as many people as possible is a great way to network and build more free traffic to your blog.

3. Don't be shy

Aggressiveness is usually a bad thing when taking about making money online. Shoving your product down someone's throat is not necessarily the best way to create a customer. But being aggressive in the blogging communities isn't always bad. Sending authors a link to your site that you think might benefit them, or that is somehow related gives them a direct link to your site and you are hopefully getting out there and creating yet another contact for yourself.

4. Join communities within the community

Within these blogging communities there are smaller categories that helps to group the blogs into different headings and tags. By joining different communities you are getting both your name and your blog out there. The more visible you are, the more traffic that you'll receive.

5. Post quality content

There is no way around posting quality content for the readers of your blog. If you can content that is relevant and helpful you can offer yourself and your time to perhaps write for someone else's blog that is more popular and receives more traffic than your own. This is where your contact will come in handy. If you have built meaningful relationships then you can call in a favor and perhaps have some of your own content front and center on a high traffic blog.

These are just some of the ways that you can generate more traffic and hopefully income by joining blogging communities. Its free and simple and more than that, you can improve your blog and learn a lot by participating. So if you aren't already a member, join some of the communities above and begin getting your name and face out there.
